Kari Colchin Lost 7 Pounds and 4 Inches Off Her Mummy Tummy ~ “Flat abs, trim thighs, muscular arms…… that describes me ; )”

“This is my first FYM challenge so I'm really excited and I'm ready to have a "go get 'em" attitude!
My 12 week Goals
I WILL:
Believe in FYM and finish the challenge--DONE!
Drink 3-4L of water daily- Most days, other days 2L
Wear my size 12 jeans mid-challenge-DONE!
Wear my size 8 jeans (pre-preggo size) end of challenge-NOT YET!
Never miss an FYM workout-NO EXCUSES!--I only missed about 5 workouts in 12 weeks!
Journal daily--I kept up with my own personal journal every day.
Use the online meal planner- started out strong with this one and then it faded and then I got back into it again towards the end!
Keep non-supportive foods out of the house--for the majority of the time I did this although others brought some in!
Use my husband as my at home coach and support--DONE!
Support and encourage other FYM'ers--DONE!
Be happy with my body in clothes!!!!--DONE!
Flat abs, trim thighs, muscular arms…… that describes me!
Well not yet, but I WILL GET THERE! The Fall Transformation Challenge is my first step towards these goals!
This was my first challenge as part of ClubFYM and I am astounded by how much I learned! Honestly, I thought I knew it all. I have been there and done that with fitness and nutrition. I’ve read the books, done the workouts and joined the forums and when I initially joined FYM I thought I was yet again joining a group that I would not be successful with. Boy was I wrong!
Getting through this challenge was not difficult. I had so much support from my accountability buddies and best of all I had the support of the woman herself, Holly Rigsby. She actually cares about my success! I couldn’t believe how much she wanted me to achieve my goals.
There was not a moment during this challenge that I didn’t want to workout and didn’t want to eat clean, but did I do things perfect every day? No! But what I learned in ClubFYM is that is okay.
Some of my favorite lines of Holly’s that ring in my head when I want to beat myself up over missing a workout or indulging in an unplanned treat,
“Progress not perfection”
“Something is better then nothing”.
Both of these “Holly-isms” as I like to call them really helped me get through days where I doubted myself and felt like I wanted to give in to cravings. Holly’s daily meditations really got me thinking too. I can’t thank her enough for those teaching moments!
I can see my muscles! What a feeling that is, huh? To look in the mirror and flex (come on, you know you do it too!) and see DEFINITION! The hard work is paying off and seeing it makes me want to go full speed ahead.
My skin looks great! I have that glow that I always wanted to have! I can only attribute that to my clean eating!
I have tons of energy! I have a 3 year old and a 5 month old so sleep isn’t something we get a lot of in this house, but my nutrition and workouts helped me get through days that I wouldn’t have been able to get through before!
People are noticing. I’ve received nothing but positive comments from friends and family. People wondering how I’ve had two babies! And I’ve only just started on the path to my ultimate goals. I can’t wait to hear what they are going to think when I reach them!
My Stats:
5'9"
Waist: 34.75----32----down 2.75inches
Mum Tum: 41----37----down 4inches
Hips: 42.75----41.5----down 1.25 inches
Thigh (R): 27----23.5----down 3.5inches
Weight: 185----178----down 7lbs
Total: 7lbs lost forever and 13.25 inches lost forever!
Now I feel like I’m becoming that complete package I’ve always wanted to be except this time I don’t feel like I have to be perfect all the time!
I know that’s not possible and that isn’t realistic, but I can work hard towards my goals everyday and I can give myself a high-five at the end of each day too! Not because I checked every item off my to-do list or because I had the perfect workout or because I had the perfect nutrition, but because I put forth the effort to achieve success.
Finally, getting my health on the FYM path makes me want to improve in other areas of my life too. I strive to be a better wife and mother every day. I want to try new things like yoga and mediation. Things I never thought I would have had time for before.
As my first challenge in ClubFYM comes to an end I’m filled with motivation and momentum to continue on.
In just twelve weeks I did more for myself then just lose a few pounds and inches. I’ve cleared my head, rid myself of some demons and created a sort of tunnel vision towards my goals.
I know I wouldn’t have made it through without my accountability buddies and ladies that inspire me on a daily basis: Angie, Sarah, Megan, Karin, Madelein just to name a few and anyone who dropped by my journal to give me some positive feedback and of course a big shout out to Holly! I thank all of you for being there!
Now, bring on the next challenge!!!! I’m ready!”
