When I started the 12 week transformation challenge in January of 2009 I was ready for change. I had signed up for too many challenges and never finished one! Now was my time to prove to myself, and everyone around me that I could do this. I could transform my body in just 12 short weeks.
I started off strong!
I did all of my workouts and was eating great. After 4 weeks had past I was already seeing amazing results, and that made me so excited for what was to come in the next phase of the challenge.
After I made it past the 4 week mark, I was pumped! I felt that I was pushing myself harder than before. I began pushing myself harder with every workout, imagining Holly standing there with me. Each workout, I would look at how I did the workout before, and I would always increase something. I have now at least doubled all of the weight that I lift. Instead of using 15 pounds for a dumbbell swing, I now use 30. Instead of using 10 pounds for the stability ball pull over's, I now use 35. I love going up to the dumbbell rack and grabbing the bigger ones from the bottom!
Not only have I been able to increase my weight, but I have so much more energy now! I never dread a workout, because I know that it is going to fill me up with the energy that I need.
The 12 week challenge has also helped my confidence level. I feel like I am walking taller and smiling more than I ever have. I guess you could say that I am just so pleased with the way my body has changed, that it makes me feel lighter all over!
There is one thing about the results that I have that seems to throw some people for a loop. During the past 12 weeks, I only lost 5 pounds, and my arms actually got larger. I guess I can understand why some people would be confused by that, but this proves that you can not base your results on a number on the scale. You need to base it on how your clothes fit you, and your measurements!
Let me just tell you, I am thrilled with the way my clothes fit me now! I can now fit into my grey pants that I could barely get up my thighs before the challenge.
Thank you Holly for helping me, and pushing me to reach my goals! I reached every goal over the last 12 weeks! If it was not for Holly, and my Fit Yummy Mummy family, I would have never done this for myself.
I am more thankful than ever for all that FYM has done for me. Thank you FYM and my wonderful husband for helping me get the results that I did with this challenge!
