Mom Of Three Flattens Her Post Baby Belly and Achieves “Mommy Muscles”!

Size: Before: 6-8 After: 6 (and some of my size 6 pants are lose on me now too!)
Weight: Before: 144lbs After: 136lbs ~ 8lbs lost
Waist: Before: 33.25" After: 32" ~ 1.25" lost
Hips: Before: 36.25" After: 36" ~ 0.25" lost
Total of 8lbs lost and 1.5 inches.
As the saying goes, “Something worth having is worth working for”!! This cannot be more true to me at this point in my life!
With summer upon us and three children to take care of, I felt this to be especially relevant during this past twelve weeks more than ever before! I needed to do anything and everything I could to stay focused this time around…..AND IT PAID OFF!
I found that I cannot do this without the support of my workout partner Jessica and the rest of my group of Fit Yummy Mummy’s here with me! To have a group of women so close to me to workout with three times per week is AMAZING! The power of support, accountability and motivation is HUGE among our group and I know we will keep each other going for a long long time!
I have learned that I cannot stay on track if I am not ORGANIZED!! During this past twelve weeks I have re-arranged and prioritized my nutrition, exercise and fat loss materials, notes and journals. They are now all easily accessible and without them I would be lost. I even put together a couple of videos this month about how I stay organized. Just taking the time to do that has not only motivated me more to stay focused but I have received wonderful feedback about how others were inspired as well!
I have learned that YES! I can eat supportively 80% of the time and feel FABULOUS and guilt free about it! This is the first challenge that I have really pushed myself to EAT CLEAN. However, no one is perfect and I did falter a few times from this and I must be honest although the PUSH was on to finish this challenge strong, I fell off the wagon more than once this past week. I now know what a “clean” body feels and looks like! I was able to stay wheat free, dairy free and mostly sugar free for the majority of this challenge and it FELT GREAT! I DO NOT wish to feel slow, groggy, tired and dull any longer. I do not wish to walk around day by day in a fog, not thinking clearly or with an open mind like I do when I am eating 80-90% clean!
I have learned that I can continue to set personal bests and achieve them! With each new workout we receive I am amazed at how much stronger I am at the end of four weeks and how my body thrives from the new challenges it receives.
Although my inches lost were minimal this time, I am not even worried or upset about that at all. I have gained much more muscle definition and I LOVE IT! My children ask me to flex and they laugh at “mommy’s muscles” which I got from eating all my veggies they tell me! How awesome is that! I honestly do not remember when my body was this lean, perhaps the start of high school when I was super busy and involved in many activities and sports.
On top of the amazing toned feeling I have right now I have such a deeper respect for my body and how I wish I had only nourished it and took care of it that much sooner! If all the new Fit Yummy Mummy’s out there will just read this and understand, it is SO not about the number on the scale...this goes much deeper and after 1 ½ years of instilling these healthy habits into my life I NOW realize how happy and respectful I can feel towards myself!
Confidence and self-respect are what I have gained and continue to gain towards my goal to be the Fittest Yummy Mummy I can be!
